Finally, make sure that you socialise and have fun whilst at University. I had to keep you mindful of the most important thing at University.
When having a job interview, what are you usually asked? “What are your hobbies and interests?”

The best and most constructive way to socialise and make friends at University is to join some societies. The more extra-curricular activities you do, the better it looks to your employer. It shows that you lead a full and well-rounded life and hence must be a wholesome and well rounded person.

Something to note: I read that if you take part in competitive sports, especially whilst at Uni, employers look upon it very favourably. They associate competitive sports with sharp minds and good teamwork, so bare that in mind. However, remember that your study comes first, it will probably be impractical to try and join several societies and balance your workload.

Be friendly and approachable at University, make friends, especially on your course. You will then have study partners and people to socialise with.

Enjoy yourself and make friends, just remember why you are there!

You want to be the person that people are approaching in second and third year to ask you for help on the courses you are on together!

Don’t leave Uni with a poor degree or any regrets!
